A 12-year-old girl is reportedly abducted by a mentally unstable man in Dominica. The girl is identified as Kernisha Etienne. As per reports, the kidnapper took her into the hills, and a massive search is underway.

Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, who is currently in Los Angeles to participate in the 9th Americas Summit, delivered a special address on Wednesday. He stated that he is continuously in touch with the Minister of National Security Rayburn Blackmoore and directed to use all the state resources in the search and rescue efforts.

"I have also been in touch with the French government through the French Embassy in St Lucia requesting the use of a helicopter," stated the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit thanked all the people who are volunteering and mobilizing to participate in the rescue efforts to find Kernisha Etienne.

"I also want to express my thanks to many volunteers who mobilized themselves in the rescue efforts," stated the Prime Minister.

Melissa Skerrit- Wife of the Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit and parliament representative from Roseau Central also prayed for the safe return of the girl.

People are widely praying for the safe return of the young girl, and social media is overwhelmed with wishes.

"Blessings is God, and his work is great she will be found safe in his mighty name Amen," wrote a Facebook user named Shepherd Pond.

"Father God, we humbly approach your throne of grace. Please grant the prayers of your people that Kernisha is found safe, and reunited unharmed to her family for the honor and glory of your name. Comfort the worrying family and friends, in Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen," wrote Lucette Erica James.

"Praying for you little princess...I'm a parent and I can only imagine what's going through their thoughts right now..oh heavenly I know that you can bring her home safely and you will bring her home safely in your might name.Amen," said Louana Bertrand
