Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Hon. Timothy Harris, is no longer the face for the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme.
Observers note that Dr Harris has not been on any visit overseas to promote his "platinum programme" now mired in countless international scandals.
According to Caribbean News Now, the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship By Investment Unit announced on Monday that senior officials from St Kitts and Nevis, including Attorney General, Hon. Vincent Byron Jr., Head of the Citizenship By Investment Unit, Les Khan and Hon. Mark Brantley, Premier of Nevis will be visiting Dubai on January 28 and will be hosting an "evening of meet and greet" for citizenship agents and their clients.
"Perhaps interested parties will take the opportunity to ask them to explain why no action has been taken to prevent the ongoing fraud and abuse, which has the potential to damage the St Kitts and Nevis CIP beyond repair as well as negatively impact the reputation of similar programmes operated by other Eastern Caribbean countries," Caribbean News Now said.
