Three celebrity cruise-ships to dock in Antigua for maintenance work

Office of the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda announced that three celebrity cruise ships would be docking on the island due to the volcanic situation in St Vincent.
As per the information, Antigua Port Authority has granted permission to Celebrity Silhouette for docking at the Heritage Quay from Saturday to Monday 19 April 2021, and Celebrity Edge would be berthed from Sunday to Sunday while the Celebrity Reflection will arrive on 21 April 2021.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, no crew members would be granted to leave the shore; however, some of them will join contractors to operate a minor maintenance work.
The Celebrity cruise liners are currently operating with their local agent Bryson'sBryson's Shipping on local logistics as well as all other customs with the Port and other officials.
The office of the Antiguan Prime Minister further noted that these cruise ships are docking for maintenance in Antigua, and no visitors would be arriving on the vessels.
"The Ministry of Tourism alongside Antigua Cruise Ports will be working assiduously with the Cruise line and Port Health to ensure thaLinel protocols are met and observed." The press release from the office further added.
After the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines issued evacuation orders last Thursday, cruise ships helped in taking the people to safe zones.
