Guyana: Woman saves life after biting off man's tongue during attempting rape
A woman in Guyana ripped off a man's tongue after he tried to rape her. The accused has been identified as Ajay Jag.

The woman sustained multiple injuries to her hands, neck, face and abdomen. The suspect was also carrying a knife when he attacked the 23-year-old, who remains traumatised following the incident.
The woman said she had a piece of his tongue bit out to save herself from getting raped. The victim's mother told police that her daughter began to scream and try to flee, but the suspect grabbed her.
"When she fled, he tangled her up and attempted to drag her into a vacant lot that has a lot of bushes. He said to her, "He's got to have sex." The mother claims that the suspect choked her daughter throughout the attack, causing her to pass out.
The culprit was kissing the young woman and pulling her clothes down to her knees as she regained consciousness. She then took advantage of the situation to bite his tongue.The mother continued, "On top of that, he had already drawn a knife, and she cut her fingers on it with the knife she was holding. After being bitten, the culprit fled, and neighbours were able to save the young lady.
