Sunrise Airways is all set to expand its connection in the Eastern Caribbean by offering additional services of new intra-regional flights which will connect Antigua, Dominica, St Kitts and Saint Lucia. This new service will come into place from May 25, 2024 onwards.

While announcing the development, the airline said that it is their largest expansion of its route network till date and the carrier will use Embraer 120 (EMB-120) for this service.

The Chairman and CEO of the airline, Philippe Bayard, said that it is truly the dawn of a new day for intra-regional air travel in the Caribbean region.

He added that this latest expansion is extra special for the company as it brings the mission they began in the Western Caribbean to better connect the islands under the concept of One Caribbean.

According to the information, the new flights within the Eastern Caribbean will operate six days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Also, two daily flights will connect Antigua to Dominica and St Kitts while Antigua to Saint Lucia will operate once everyday.

CEO Bayard said that with two rotations each day, the new Antigua, Dominica and St Kitts flights offer travellers in those markets huge flexibility. He further noted that the new Antigua to Saint Lucia service stands out as the only direct flight which will connect two of the most popular destinations of the Caribbean.

The announcement of expanding the services in the Eastern Caribbean came after the announcements in October 2023 of the airline’s first flight to and from Miami.

In addition to this, Sunrise Airways also serves an additional 12 gateways across Caribbean and Central American region including the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Panama and St Maarten. The airline has also voiced its plans to expand further in the region within this year and beyond.

Meanwhile, the new service will ease travellers wanting to travel to major hubs of the Caribbean during the vacation season. It will create exciting new options for multi-destination travel combining the sizzle of Antigua with the island of Saint Lucia for the first time.
