St Kitts and Nevis signs visa waiver agreement with Republic of Benin
The Government of St Kitts and Nevis has taken one step ahead by establishing diplomatic ties with the Republic of Benin on June 2, 2022. A joint statement was signed by between the Ambassadors of two countries in Havana.

The Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in Havana greeted Boniface Vignon of the Republic of Benin, who, together with SKN’s resident ambassador Verna Mills, marked a Joint Communiqué declaring formal diplomatic ties. A visa waiver agreement was also signed between the two countries.

The two ambassadors agreed that signing the communiqué was a significant step forward in improving ties between the two governments and peoples. They both vowed to work together to further the establishment of amicable, mutually beneficial connections in a variety of ways.

Winston Hanley, Counsellor in Saint Kitts and Nevis Embassy in Havana, and Flubert Macaire Dossa Adjovi, Second Counsellor of the Republic of Benin, were also present at the ceremony.
