St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Public Utilities, Konris Maynard, is calling out the citizens and residents of St Kitts and Nevis to apply for various vacancies available in the Department of Information, Communications and Technology. Through a Facebook post, Minister Maynard made the announcement and said, “Come Join Our Team.” According to the information from the Minister, the Department is seeking technicians, a programmer, network specialist, administrators, and several others. The available positions at the Department are as follows:
  • Technician I
  • Technician II
  • Programmer I
  • Network Specialist
  • Network Administrator
  • Server Administrator
  • Database Administrator
  • ICT Policy Advisor
  • IXP Peering Coordinator
  • Software Engineer
Minister Maynard also informed the citizens that they can send their applications or resumes to The Permanent Secretary at the National ICT Center, #3 CA Paul Southwell, Industrial Site, Basseterre, St Kitts. Individuals can also mail their applications via technology@gov.kn.

According to the Minister, people are encouraged to contact at 1-869-467-1281 for any other information related to available vacancies.

He also stated that it will be a great opportunity for individuals as they will get a chance to serve the people of St Kitts and Nevis and work for the Labour Party Government.

It is to be noted that to apply for these positions, individuals must possess the following qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or software engineering

Three years of experience in the same field

Certificates of software development and database management will be considered an advantage

In addition to this, people must also have their skills in technical skills such as PHP, C#, Java, Node.js, Python, C++. This is not the first time that the Department of Information, Communications and Technology is calling the citizens for various positions. The Department keeps hiring several citizens to give them a chance to work for the government and expand their skills.
