Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, commended the many persons who continue to show their support to the Team Unity Administration, especially those who attend and listen via other mediums to the “Community Consultation” town hall styled meetings held throughout the various constituencies in St. Kitts.
Prime Minister Harris commended persons at the (March 26) community consultation held at the Sandy Point Community Centre. The consultations form part of the Team Unity Administration’s fourth Anniversary Calendar of Activities which runs from February 11 to April 16, 2019, under the theme: “TEAM UNITY: Making Dreams a Reality in Every Community!!!”
“We are grateful for those of you who have been to each and every one of the four town halls we have had so far. These town hall meetings are about you. They reflect the fact that as a government we value your input and we take delight in your consultations with us,” said Prime Minister Harris. “Your views and your expectations matter; they are important to us and that is why we have been coming so often to have the conversation with you.”
He assured the viewing and listening audience of the government’s intention to continue along the path of transparency and good governance and added that the government will continue to work for the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
“We are a responsible government and we are a government for and by the people of St. Kitts and Nevis. It is truly wonderful what the Lord has done, but truly wonderful what has been accomplished over the last four years, and what has been accomplished over the last four years when compared to the history before us,” he added.
The community consultations were designed for persons within communities to interact face-to-face with elected representatives. The consultations are held every Tuesday.
