Phase two of traffic lights installation begins in Basseterre
Engineer at the Public Works Department (PWD), Livingston Pemberton, gave an update on phase two of the traffic light installation in Basseterre,

"I want to emphasize that studies were taken at each intersection, and from the studies, the design of the traffic lights was actually done," he added.
"A consulting firm called ADeB Consultants from Jamaica was contracted, and they would have done and studied the traffic statement, and from that, the design would have been implemented to have the traffic lights," said Mr. Pemberton said.
Mr. Pemberton also addressed citizens and residents' concerns who are critical of the traffic lights being close together.
"For those who think the traffic lights are too close together, it's important for us to understand that when they are actually instructed to synchronize," he said.
