The Commonwealth of Dominica is going under the general elections today and following the same opposition United Workers Party made fresh allegations of Venezuelan troops in Dominica, after which WIC News special correspondent confirmed from official sources that these allegations are entirely false.
While talking to WIC News, Minister of National Security Rayburn Blackmoore confirmed that there are no Venezuelan troops present in Dominica. "The rumours being spread by the United Workers Party are totally misleading and malicious. There are no troops from Venezuela," said Blackmoore
He added that only Regional Security Services (RSS) peacekeeping forces are present in Dominica.
According to information, several local leaders of UWP took it over to social media spreading rumour that Venezuelan armed forces have reached Dominica in the wake of elections. The baseless allegations of opposition cleared that the party is involved in provocation among residents and focusing towards bringing disturbance in the country.
