Seismic Insitute stated that explosions with accompanying ashfall of similar or larger magnitude to those that have already occurred in this eruption could take place with lesser or no warning. People are also advised to remain cautioned to visit International Volcanic Hazard Health Network for any volcanic ash related information at www.ivhhn.org/information. It has been more than three weeks since the La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent, and the Grenadines erupted. The eruptions were followed by massive volcanic ash falls, poor quality of air, contamination of water and flooding/landslide in some areas of the island.Scientists state that out of all the active volcanoes on earth St Vincent, and the Grenadines volcano is worrying them the most.
The eruptions at the La Soufriere volcano have been so massive that the World Meteorological Department reported that the carbon emissions reached all the way to India crossing the massive path of over 8,000 miles. More than 20,000 people are also displaced and accommodated in shelters across the country.
