Police have arrested and charged a man in relation to the shooting death in Nevis last week.
Alston Phillips, from Hamilton Estate, Nevis, is suspected of murdering Lydia Jacobs on 2 June.
The 37-year-old was gunned down in her yard late around 11pm.
Phillips has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder, although it’s not clear what these charges relate to.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Andre Mitchell, head of the Crime Directorate, said: "I want to commend the team at the Violent Crimes Unit and the Forensic Services Unit for their work on this case so far.
“I also want to thank all who provided information as it related to this case; and thank you coming forward with the information that proved valuable to moving this case forward."
Engagement between police and communities yields results, Mitchell added, and this led to the arrest.
The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force is still investigating three other murders that occurred since the weekend.
Information can be shared with the police by calling any police station, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS), or by using the SKN Crime Reporter app.
