Jamaica Fuel Prices: Gas reduces by $1.06, Kerosene down by $4.50

Kingston, Jamaica: In a significant relief for the citizens, the only petroleum refinery in Jamaica, Petrojam, has announced major changes in the prices of fuel products. As effective from April 25, the gas prices will go down by $1.06 while the diesel prices will reduce by $1.81.
The motorists will see the change in the price of gasoline at the pumps from today onwards.
According to the information, the 90 octane gas will be sold for $182.48 per litre after a reduction of $1.06 while the 87 octane gas will be sold for $176.20 per litre after a drop of $1.06.
Petrojam also said that the automotive diesel fuel would be sold for $177.78 per liter after a decrease of $1.81. Meanwhile, the ultra-low sulfur diesel has also gone down by $1.93, with the new rate of the product being $184.12 per liter.
In addition to this, Kerosene has also seen a major reduction of $4.50 per litre. The new price of the product now stands at $178.33 per litre.
The petroleum refinery also added that the Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $68.72 per litre as it has went down by 55 cents. The butane liquid petroleum will now be sold for $75.77 per litre after a reduction of $1.40.

The Government aims to make people as much stress free as possible from higher market prices of fuel products.
