Dominica: In a significant development, the Tranquility Beach Resort Dominica – Curio – A Collection by Hilton is in development in Grand Savanne, Salisbury. The resort will add 101 rooms to the hotel stock of Dominica along with a combination of suites, villas, penthouses and single unit tree houses offering breath-taking views of the Caribbean Sea.

The luxurious resort will have additional features, including a spa, wellness center and gym, fine dining restaurant, swimming pool, gift shop, tennis court, and private cabanas.

On Wednesday, May 1, Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit led a cabinet site visit to observe the overall progress of construction on the authorized Citizenship by Investment Project. During the visit, the Prime Minister said that the property will open its doors to visitors by 2025 and added that it will have a huge impact on the economy of Dominica.

"This is what we've been trying to use the CBI funds for to create sustainable projects, finance sustainable projects, and thereby create sustainable jobs. This hotel is going to create sustainable jobs, permanent jobs for lots of Dominicans and so forth at various levels and skill sets," he outlined.

He also noted that around 100 people will be permanently employed on the Tranquility Beach Resort upon its completion to provide services to the guests.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister was joined by Tourism Minister Denise Charles during the site visit, and she is highly anticipating the opening of this property. She said, "101-room property is going to be a unique but excellent addition to our world-class resorts right here in Dominica."

While talking about the resort, Minister Charles said that people around the world especially people with money look for unique and authentic experience and this resort will be perfect for them.

She emphasized, "I believe this resort provides that if you want to feel like you're in the jungle, you can have a treetop experience, if you want to feel like you're looking over the sea and on the beach and want a privacy and want service from a butler you can book a villa or depending on your budget you can just book a room but still have access to these great facilities and not to mention the Rooftop Bar oh that's a major feature with 360 views you can stay on top there and see Scott head so this resort has spectacular views all around."

In addition to this, the Tourism Minister lauded the Developer of the resort, Ian Edwards, and said that she is proud that a Dominican could develop such an exquisite, 6-star, and beautiful resort.
