Dominica: Dr Irving McIntyre shares update on Digital Transformation Project

Roseau, Dominica: Minister for Health, Wellness and New Health Investment of Dominica- Dr Irving McIntyre shared an update on the Digital Transformation Project with the youth of the Roseau Valley.
The Health Minister organized the event for the youth at the Trafalgar Resource Centre on June 23, 2022.
Through his social media, Dr Irving McIntyre noted, "Last evening at the Trafalgar Resource Centre, the youth of the Roseau Valley were given an in-depth look into the Digital Transformation Project."He further informed that a massive crowd turned out at the centre, adding that the transformation project assisted in the significant progress of the country.
Dr McIntrye asserted, "We turned out in large numbers because we're very much aware what this transformation means to our progress as a people."
He also outlined that the four components of the Digital Transformation Project explained the potential for training and development of our constituents to help position them for the future Digital Economy of Dominica.
The Minister of Health emphasized that the Government of Dominica is working tirelessly to construct the fully equipped Digital Innovation Hub in the Roseau Valley.
The Hub will strengthen the digital education in the country and also helps to bridge the digital gap between the generations.
"We in the Roseau Valley look forward to the fully equipped Digital Innovation Hub, which will be set up at the Resource Center in Trafalgar, serving all hamlets in the Valley," he underscored.
Further, Providing not only training but paid internship attachments and grants for worthy entrepreneurs is all part of the project. Dominica is well positioned to become a leader in Digital Transformation in the region.He further extended gratitude to the coordinator Mr Robert Tonge, Dr Jermaine Jean Pierre and consultant Mr Amit for an excellent presentation. He also thanked the Government for investing in the people of the Roseau Valley.
