It was reported that the altercation turned very violent, and Grant ended with several cuts over his eyes and abrasions to his head. On the other hand, Anthony continued to stab him as he lay on the ground, showing his intention of killing before he was stopped by police officers present on the scene.
Following this, he was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital while Anthony was detained by police over the incident. But he said that Grant was the one who initially attempted to stab him. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Chester Williams lauded the police officers who were on the scene for not shooting Anthony and stated that he would not have made the same decision. So far, police have not reported any charges filed against either of them.
The Police Commissioner also talked about the incident and said that as the police officers were trying to apprehend the individual, he was consistently resisting and trying to go after the person that he had stabbed."Obviously, his intent was to kill because even as the person lay on the ground, he was they're stamping the person in the head and the police officers again, while some may criticize them and say that they did not perform their duties the way they should," he added.
He said that investigations have been launched into the incident, and the police authorities are attempting to find the cause behind this. He said that the intention of killing is also a crime, which is why the men will probably be charged during their hearing in court.Latest
