Antigua And Barbuda: People can collect vaccine cards today
Antigua and Barbuda vaccinated around 1,898 senior citizens on March 10. The ministry of health, wellness and the environment publcizied the numbers on Thursday.

Antigua and Barbuda vaccinated around 1,898 senior citizens on March 10. The ministry of health, wellness and the environment publcizied the numbers on Thursday. The ministry also asked people to collect their vaccine cards.
As per the ministry of health Antigua and Barbuda the country have successfuly immunized 17,973 people and no person experienced any severe effects of the Oxford Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
Antigua and Barbuda received 40,000 doses of Oxford Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine from India on March 1, 2021. The vaccine were part of India's "Maitri Initiative" which aims to assist countries across the world with the coronavirus vaccine.
As per the Prime Minister Gaston Browne, the doses are enough to immunize 70 percent of the population. The country also donated 5,000 of these doses to their sister nation Grenada, illustrating a example of caring for the neighbours.
Earlier this, the vaccination processes took place at the Jennings Primary Scjool and All Saints Secondary school.
While from today (March 11,2021) onwards, the drive will begin at the Villa and Glanvilles Polyclinics.
Health ministry noted that the intial vaccine drive aims to vaccinate people over the age of 65-year-olds. Besides this, public vaccination sites will also remain closed on weekends to foucs immunizing the target groups.
Vaccine Cards
Furthermore, people who received their first doses of the coronavirus vaccine between March 1 and March 5 are advised to collect their vaccine cards today from 12:30 pm from Multipurpose Centre. The vaccine card can be collected by showing an indentification proof.
Villa Polyclinic: People who got vaccinated at the Villa Polyclinic can also collect their vaccine cards today from 9am to 4:30 pm at the gate.
Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) in Potters: People who received their doses at the respective place between March 1 to March 5 can also collect their vaccine cards on Thursday 11th March 2021 12pm, 12th March 2021 from 12pm and Monday 15th March 2021 from 12pm.
