Only 7 active COVID-19 cases in Dominica with no deaths

As per the recent data shared by the Minister of health and wellness, Dominica, there are only seven active COVID-19 cases.

Roseau, Dominica: As per the recent data shared by the Minister of health and wellness, Dominica, there are only seven active COVID-19 cases in the country with no-virus related deaths.  Minister of health and wellness Dominica also stated that the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country is 157, while there are only five patients under investigation. There are also 20 people currently in GOCD quarantine. Dominica also started its vaccination drive in February, and over 17,674 people have received the first dose of the vaccine.  Also read: Dominica: Why work from home when you can work from the “Nature Island”  Dominica had received over 70,000 doses of the Oxford Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine from India. It was also among the first countries to procure vaccine in the region.  Besides this, in March, Dominica received over 20,000 doses of the Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine from the People's Republic of China.  Since the vaccine drive started in the country, no person experienced critical reactions to the coronavirus vaccine. President Charles Savarin, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and other cabinet members also received their first doses of the vaccine Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine, while Melissa Skerrit received the dose of Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine.  Also read: Dominica allows tourists to quarantine in “nature” The island country is open to tourism, and all travellers are subject to quarantine. However, some can also quarantine at private facilities under the "Safe in Nature Programme."  The Safe in Nature Programme is developed to increase the island’s tourism activities as the sector is currently undergoing a dilemma due to the pandemic. A safe in nature experience begins at the airport when the visitor has cleared through the screening, customs, and immigration; then, they will take a safe in nature taxi.
