Shocking: A Belize Defence Force soldier rapes his female colleague

The people who are responsible for the security of the country are now accused of raping a colleague. As per reports, a Belize Defence Force Female was raped by a fellow soldier.

The incident was reported on 30th August 2021 by a Belize Defence Force female soldier. She said to her senior officers the misconduct by her colleague.

In accordance with the Belize Defence Force Sexual Harassment Policy, any alleged incidence of rape should be forwarded to the Belize Police Department. The case was also transferred on Thursday. The female soldier has now filed a formal complaint here, BDF colleague.

Due to the sensitivity of the case, the names were not revealed by the Belize Defence Force in their press release.

People are outraged by the misconduct done by the BDF soldier towards his female colleague. The act is being condemned across the country as the police is yet to launch investigations.

A social media user named Peter Lacey wrote," Men need to start getting some sort of proof of consent when having sex with a woman... not saying the soldier is guilty or not but we have seen where men have been wrongfully accused and once your name is out there the damage is irreparable."

People are demanding the police release the name and photos of the male soldier who is accused of raping.

Another social media user named Margaret R Johnson Emjay said, "What are these men who are raping women and underage girls in Belize eating or feeding their minds with? We want his picture out there in the media, not hers and don't tell me there is not a DNA kit in Belize to prove that it is his semen."
