Maloney, who is also the co-owner of Hyatt Ziva Hotel Resort on Bay Street, stated that the tourism industry in Barbados is inter-connected with all the industries in the country.

Furthermore, he stated that with the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of people started paying more attention to their health. He said the pandemic put everyone a step back, but now things are slowly coming back to normalcy.Mark Maloney also stated that his group of companies is trying to become more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
"We have been going paperless with all of our invoicing and so on; our company is trying to communicate a lot more via technology. I do believe that there is a place for technology with respect to meetings, but I don't believe that you can beat meeting people face to face, but there is a place for it." "We have many companies that all support each other, it's not about one country doing something, but it's about all companies supporting each other," said Maloney.Maloney also talked about the significance of clean spaces for a better environment. He stated that cleanliness is also a major contributor to a healthy environment, and people must practice it in order to protect the atmosphere.
