Saint Lucia to host 68th annual health conference

Residents of Saint Lucia have been demanding the extension of the date for the submission of the papers of the Annual Health Research Conference.

68th ANNUAL HEALTH RESEARCH CONFERENCE
Saint Lucia: CARPHA - Caribbean Public Health Agency is organising a 68th ANNUAL HEALTH RESEARCH CONFERENCE in Saint Lucia. It will be held from April 25-27 ,2024 under the theme of violence on the Caribbean “ A Public Health Crisis”.

An Extension of the Call of The Papers have been given and extended to December 31st 2023.

Residents of Saint Lucia have been demanding the extension of the date for the submission of the papers of the Annual Health Research Conference. This conference is being conducted by the CARPHA -Caribbean Public Health Agency whose motive is to Prevent disease and promote and protect health in the Caribbean. As per World Health Organization, top causes of death for males in Saint Lucia is Stroke, Ischaemic heart disease, Diabetes Mellitus, Prostate cancer and Kidney Disease. In this case the government is very keen to provide health research and conferences in order to promote healthy lifestyles among the citizens of Saint Lucia. It will also help to curb the public health crisis. Previously, the Ministry of Health and Wellness of Bahamas hosted CARPHA’s 67th Annual Health Research Conference. It was hosted in the Bahamas from April 27-29,2023 under the theme of Caribbean health and Tourism : Pathways to recovery and Resilience. Minister Darville and Director St. John also participated in a Media Launch for the conference.

In CARPHA’s 67th Annual Health Research Conference delegates like Dr. Joy St. John, Executive Director of the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Health & Wellness, Dr. Michael R. Darville.

People of Saint Lucia are willing for such a genuine and positive response from this conference on Public Health Crisis. Due to this, the date has been extended for the call of papers till December 31st, 2023.
