Nevis Elections 2022: Results declared from four constituencies, CCM-NRP stand equal

St Kitts and Nevis: The results of the Nevis Assembly elections have been declared from four constituencies so far. As of now, the Concerned Citizens Movement Party and the Nevis Reformation Party have secured two constituencies each. The results from the St Johns constituency, being represented by Mark Brantley, is yet to be declared.

St Kitts and Nevis: The results of the Nevis Assembly elections have been declared from four constituencies so far. As of now, the Concerned Citizens Movement Party and the Nevis Reformation Party have secured two constituencies each. The results from the St Johns constituency, being represented by Mark Brantley, is yet to be declared. From Nevis 1( St Pauls), the Concerned Citizens Movement citizen Spencer Brand sealed the victory with 631 votes i.e. 50.9% polling in his favour. At the same time, Jaedee Caines of the Nevis Reformation Party managed to secure 604 votes( 48.7%). The total voter turnout from the constituency was accounted at 1240. Eric Evelyn of the Concerned Citizens Movement from Nevis 3( St George) had brought in 69.6% voters in his favour, securing 736 votes. Whereas the Nevis Reformation Party’s Rohan Isles received 311 votes (29.4%), thereby leading CCM towards a swift victory in the constituency. However, Nevis Reformation Party’s candidate from the Nevis 4( St James) constituency, Dr Janice Daniel Hodge, has turned out to be victorious with 750 votes, that is 49.8%. In comparison to this, the Concerned Citizens Movement’s candidate, Alexis Jeffers, bagged 743 votes(49.3% polls). Along with this, MRM’s candidate secured 11 votes from the constituency, which is just 0.7%.

From the Nevis 5, the St Thomas constituency, the Concerned Citizens Movement’s candidate Latoya Biyanca Jones has lost the constituency to Nevis Reformation Party Candidate Cleone Stapleton Simmonds. Latoya Jones has bagged in 508 votes, i.e. 41.6 per cent of voters in her favour. While the majority was gained by the NRP’s, Simmonds received 712 votes, forming 58 per cent of votes in her column.

Currently., the results from Nevis 2( St Johns) constituency are still being counted for. So Far, CCM’s leader Mark Brantley has received 613 votes, while the Nevis Reformation Party’s Dr Patricia Bartlette secured 665 votes. The final results from the constituency are yet to be declared.

In the Nevis Assembly elections 2022, 13172 citizens registered themselves for polling. However, the stats revealed the vote count to be 5776.
