Greenpreneurs Incubator Programme recognises two nationals of St Kitts and Nevis among $10,000 seed grants

The Eastern Caribbean Green Entrepreneurship revealed the awardees under an initiative which is dedicated to fostering and championing environmentally and socially responsible business endeavours.

St Kitts and Nevis: Jeune Guishard-Pine of St Kitts Beekeeper’s Co-operative and Eurta Chiverton of St Kitts and Nevis of Kittitian Bloom were recognised among the esteemed US $10,000 seed grants as part of Greenpreneurs Incubator Programme.

The firm St Kitts Beekeeper’s Co-operative is a group that promotes the local honeybee population. The company enhances the production of local raw honey and products made from extracted hives and develops Api tourism as a rural tourism product.

Whereas, the Kittitian Bloom provides an array of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. It produces flowers using ecological and sustainable farming practices, which contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases and pesticides.

The Eastern Caribbean Green Entrepreneurship delightfully revealed the awardees under an initiative which is dedicated to fostering and championing environmentally and socially responsible business endeavours. The businesses considered are established within the Eastern Caribbean region.

As per the sources, both start-ups were awarded for the ‘Agriculture, Aquaculture or Agro-processing’ category. Other than Jeune Guishard-Pine and Eurta Chiverton, the organisation rewarded the following deserving candidates who were selected from the third cohort program:

The seed grants aim to offer essential financial backing, enabling the firms to advance their initiatives and expand their activities.

The GGGI Incubator Programme-Cohort 3 was observed on Tuesday, December 05, 2023 at Fisheries Complex Conference Room, 2:30 p.m. The award ceremony included guest performances, testimonials by the greenpreneurs.

A special speech was delivered by the guest speaker Laurah John who is the major GGGI representative. The incubator programme was conducted in association with Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, Dexia and Qatar Fund for Development.
