The Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley extended an invitation to the Nevisians and Kittitians living abroad and on the island to join the 50th celebration of Culturama 50. This year, the festival will be held from July 27 to August 8, 2023, with celebrations beginning as early as April 12. People will treated to everything truly Caribbean as the event is being held under the theme "Celebrating Culture, Embracing History, It's Culturama 50!” While inviting everyone, he said, "It gives me immense pleasure to invite each and every one of you to come home for Culturama." The festival is an authentic Caribbean cultural experience which celebrates the emancipation of slaves in the 1830s - a time which is marked as one of the most significant milestones in the history of Nevis. The Premier urged the diaspora to come home to Nevis and added that way back in 1974, a number of Nevisians got together and created this amazing cultural phenomenon called Culturama. "This year, in 2024, We celebrate 50 years. 50 years of mass, 50 years of folklore, 50 years of Kulturama. We invite you to come home and be a part of it," he further said.

Mark Brantley also highlighted that as part of the celebrations this year, they are having a homecoming celebration, which is why he is inviting everyone and said, "Wherever you may be, whether you're in the United States or Canada, the United Kingdom or someplace in the Caribbean. We invite you to come home to all Nevisians and Kittitians."

Premier Brantley said that everyone together will celebrate culture and will embrace history as it is Culturama 50. This major Caribbean event is anticipated to be a packed schedule highlighting all features of Nevisian arts and culture via games, poetry nights, craft and food fairs, aquatic extravaganzas, sports racing, Soca Monarch competitions, steel pan night and more.

Other events to enjoy during the 12 days long celebration are fetes, pageants and a colourful street parade of spectacular costumes.
