US approves the emergency usage of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine

Washington: The United States has approved the emergency use of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine in the war of the virus. Earlier, the US has approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine. Now America has two options to compete against Corona.

After getting approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of America, Moderna has given this information by tweeting. It is believed that vaccination work can be started from next week.

Moderna wrote in his tweet, 'We have received emergency approval from the FDA to use the vaccine for the prevention of Coronavirus. People aged 18 and older will be vaccinated. An FDA panel stated that the vaccine is effective in reducing the risk of corona in people 18 and older.

With the approval of Emergency use of Moderna vaccine, it is expected that America's performance in dealing with Corona will improve. In the US, three lakh people have lost their lives due to Corona. The outbreak here can be gauged from the fact that 3,580 people died due to infection on Wednesday.

Earlier, Donald Trump had announced by tweeting that Moderna's vaccine has been approved and soon it will be distributed. Significantly, the American company Modified RNA, i.e. Moderna is one of the companies that first claimed to make Corona Vaccine. Moderna's permission for the trial of his vaccine mRNA-1273 in March itself.

Moderna began its second trial in July and sought the US FDA's permission for use on November 30 after finishing the third trial, which has now been granted. The company claims that its success rate in the trial has been 94.1 percent. About 30 thousand people were dosed in the trial of this vaccine. Although some side effects such as fever, headache and fatigue were also seen after the vaccine, scientists did not consider it dangerous.

In the US, a campaign to install the Corona vaccine of Pfizer has been started from Monday. The US government has called it the biggest vaccination campaign in history. This vaccine is being given to American health workers first. One of the major reasons for Corona being uncontrollable in America was President Donald Trump's underestimation of the virus. Trump was against strict measures from the beginning and was found to be violating the rules himself on several occasions. This was one of the reasons for his defeat in the presidential election.
