Justin Trudeau shifted to a secret location as truckers continue their protest

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has been moved to a secret location as the demonstrations by truckers continue across Canada.
Protests in Canada's capital over trucker vaccine mandates and other Covid-19 health restrictions resumed Sunday, but the gathering was smaller than it had been the day before amid military and political rebukes for bad behaviour. A line of huge rigs blocked the main avenue outside the parliament buildings in Ottawa, and protestors shouting on a temporary stage declared they have no plans to leave anytime soon. The Canadian legislature has been on hiatus since mid-December, but is set to reconvene on Monday. The trucking convoy has gotten a lot of attention from across the world, including from Donald Trump. "We want those Canadian truckers to know that we are with them all the way," former President Barack Obama said at a rally in Texas on Saturday night. He claims that the demonstrators in Ottawa are "doing far more to safeguard American freedom than our own government." The convoy's credibility was harmed by images of Nazi flags and footage of automobiles parked on the national war memorial with beer-drinking demonstrators dancing on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The footage at the war memorial, which was the location of a terrorist attack in 2014 that killed a 24-year-old soldier, "sickened" General Wayne Eyre, Canada's top soldier, on Twitter. "Generations of Canadians have fought and died for our freedoms, including free expression," Eyre added. "Those who were involved should be ashamed." Congested Streets The protests have slowed traffic in the city's central district, although they have been mostly calm thus far. Ottawa police stated Sunday morning that they are investigating numerous events but have made no arrests so far. They haven't issued a crowd estimate.Latest
