PM Rowley sends greetings on the "Indian Arrival day 2021"
Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Dr Keith Rowley sent out greetings on the Indian Arrival day 2021.

He said that nobody could forget the historical circumstances and the lengthy hazardous journey that Indian took.
"What they called the Kala-Pani, the so-called taboo waters, between their houses, and the final docking of the Fatel Razack in May 1845," stated PM Rowley.Prime Minister said there were many causes given for their individual contractual arrangements to travel from the large subcontinent to the little known Caribbean colony.
"Together, they kept a dream for themselves and their descendants in a place they called 'Chinitat'." said Trinidadian Prime Minister.He said that the arrival of Indians was encouraged and induced even though the survival was challenging. PM said that every year the Indian Arrival Day is celebrated with fanfare and re-enactments of the arrival of the Fatel Razack, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the celebrations have been limited.
Prime Minister acknowledged the contribution of the East Indian community and other immigrants to Trinidad and Tobago's development.
