St Kitts and Nevis only have one active COVID-19 patient while the rest of the others have successfully recovered from this viral infection. Chief Medical Officer, Dr Hazel Laws stated that eighteen patients have won their battle with coronavirus in the country.
St Kitts and Nevis remain one of the countries with least coronavirus cases and the twin-island nation moves ahead of reopening borders for all travellers on October 31 with strict health-guidelines in place.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr Hazel Laws stated that currently, only one patient is active coronavirus case who is stable and recovering nicely.
So far, over 2586 people have been tested for COVID-19 in St Kitts and Nevis and 2452 have tested negative for this contagious disease. Dr Laws stated that 115 test results are still pending.
The government of St Kitts and Nevis have been strictly monitoring all the nationals returning from coronavirus hotspots and PCR testing is done upon arrival. As per Chief Medical Officer over 435 people returned to St Kitts and Nevis from 24 April to 7 October.
St Kitts and Nevis remain one of those Caribbean nations which quickly closed down its borders for all travellers after coronavirus started to spread. This action resulted in the least number of COVID patients in the country with no deaths.
