Social distancing extremely necessary to save the Federation from COVID-19 says PM Harris
The government of St Kitts and Nevis is already taking mandatory steps to save the people of the country from this novel Coronavirus

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris addressed the inhabitants over the issue of novel Coronavirus. Dr Harris asked each and every individual of the Federation to play a role in order to protect the country from COVID-19 and suggested social distancing to all.
As per the Prime Minister, the government of St Kitts and Nevis is already taking mandatory steps to save the people of the country from this novel Coronavirus which has killed hundreds and thousands of people across the globe.
Dr Harris stated that to break the chain of this Covid-19, the government has taken initiatives such as cancelling several sporting events, inter-school meets and visitors are also minimised at the prison.
"No visitors are being allowed at Her Majesty’s Prison until further notice," added PM Harris.
St Kitts and Nevis have no recorded cases of Coronavirus so far. However, the government is taking all the necessary steps to make sure the people of the Federation stays safe and untouched from the COVID-19. Cruise-ships from across the globe have already halted from the famous Port Zante, and the government has imposed restrictions on the entry of the United States and Europe citizens.
Italy has become the epicentre of the virus after mainland China and caused the deaths of 651 people on Sunday alone in Italy.
Coronavirus is a contagious disease which was started in later December in China. The virus, which is named COVID-19, has killed over fifteen thousand people and around 382,005 people are infected.
As the disease spreads from person to person and can stay on a surface for several hours, social distancing can be proven a chain breaker for the outbreak. Medical experts claim that staying at least six feet distant from other people reduces the possibilities of catching COVID-19. Examples include withdrawing mass meetings, working from home if feasible and visiting loved ones virtually instead of in person.
