Singer Byron Messia signs contract with Ztekk Records

Famous St Kitts and Nevis-based singer Byron Messia have signed a contract with a music record label Ztekk Records, on Saturday. The Instagram page of the label owned by Trinidadian dancehall artist, Prince Swanny, made the announcement.

The page posted the following: “New artist, welcome to the family. 1st official ZTG member 4L @byronmessia.”

Photos and videos of the Kittitian artist performing and a video of both artists were also posted.

Byron Messia, whose real name is Dylan Byron, said that he was proud of this accomplishment. “This is really a step in the right direction for me; it’s a step into the big league,” he said.

Ztekk Records aims to empower the youth through music. Taryll Swan, popularly known as Prince Swanny, gained initial recognition in the dancehall world when he released his regional hit “Go Fi Dem”.

The song was said to stir a bit of controversy at the time. However, it had a huge social impact and created a deeper understanding of the life and culture of young Trinbagonians.

Later in 2017, Swanny released another regional hit “Brother Brother”, which captured the hearts of many youths since it spoke about being surrounded by ‘real’ friends who have your back no matter what.

Prince Swanny has collaborated with many regional artists, including I-Octane. He continues to perform and captivate the audience with his thought-provoking lyrics.

The Different Perspectives Byron Messia was recently announced as an artist for this year’s St. Kitts Music Festival, which takes place June 23-25.

Byron Messia will be performing on June 25 and will be sharing the stage with Beres Hammond, Keyshia Cole, Popcaan and more.
