Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris, is proud to see the massive turnout at the St Kitts Music Festival and displayed the commitment of his administration to the event. The music festival concluded on 25 June 2022, and the Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of all organizers and artists.
More than 10,000 people gathered to mark the success of the St Kitts Music Festival. It is being regarded as the largest attendance for a Night at the Festival. Jamaican deejay Popcaan brought the house down on the staging of yet another hugely successful St Kitts Music Festival.
Despite the two-year break due to covid, the Festival has returned and has started where it left off as the most anticipated annual Caribbean Festival.
Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris commented on yet another successful festival event. He said, "I am proud of the strides and development that this Festival has made under my leadership over the last 7 years. Prudent fiscal management has enabled my government to provide millions in annual support for this Festival, which has now become the best in the Caribbean," said the Prime Minister.
He said that under his leadership, the government will continue to ensure that the St Kitts Music Festival will continue to develop and enhance the tourism product.
"Congratulations to the Minister of Tourism, the Tourism Authority and the Chairman and members of the SKMF Committee. Our country continues to perform well in a very stable, peaceful and happy environment, and the success of the Festival is a testament to that," said the Prime Minister.
On the final evening of the 2022 St Kitts Music Festival, Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris also took the opportunity to go around expressing his gratitude to several of the music artists who helped contribute to the success of this year's Festival.
"Congratulations once again to all involved in the execution of this phenomenal Festival and also to the thousands who attended and the talented local, regional and international artists who performed exceptionally well," he further added.
