Full Statement of Premier Mark Brantley
I am heartbroken that our beloved island has again been hit by senseless violence. I continue to urge our youth to think before they act foolishly; to consider the consequences for all of us from their foolish actions; to love and cherish life and each other.
My heartfelt condolences to the families and friends that today are mourning. I pray that those who know something will cooperate fully with the Police to ensure that justice is swift and certain.
We can only have the Nevis we deserve if all of us commit to it and if the hatred that resides in some of us is exorcised forever. May Jehovah God helps us all, and may He the Great Comforter provide comfort now to those who mourn.
