Gulf News, a Dubai based daily English newspaper invited St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris for a webinar where the latter talked about the citizenship by investment program of the country.

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris was joined by Les Khan, who is CEO St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by investment program.

The leader listed out the most significant aspects of the citizenship by investment program of St Kitts and Nevis, which is recently ranked as world's best fastest CBI Program by CBI Index published by Financial Times' PWM magazine.

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris stated that the quality of life in St Kitts and Nevis has been improving with the assistance of funds from citizenship by investment program.

"When we faced the challenges of the closure of sugar industry in 2005, people were afraid of the future, but we have been able to transform the CBI program and been able to bring hotels that are giving good pay jobs to the citizens," added Dr Harris.

As per the leader, St Kitts and Nevis is one of the countries where property rights are respected, and judiciary works efficiently.

St Kitts and Nevis is also exceptional when it comes to conducting general elections during the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister stated that it was all possible because the nation has the strong rule of law and respect for democracy.

"You should not just think of citizenship but also of a vibrant country," stated Dr Harris in reference to the quality of life and overall environment of the twin-island nation St Kitts and Nevis.

He stated that CBI has been impactful in assisting the country in getting out of the crisis caused by the COVID-19, he noted that the program has been assisting in improving the overall structure of all sectors and even the massive second-cruise pier was constructed with the CBI funds. He asserted that St Kitts and Nevis is home to remarkable hotel chains as Park Hyatt, Four Seasons and other massive hotel brands have their establishments in the nation.

Les Khan - CEO of CBIP, St Kitts and Nevis stated that they have rolled out an exclusive limited time offer for people who are in interested to grab the opportunity in period of crisis. The offer started in June 2020, would expire on 15 January 2021. Under the exclusive offer, a family of four can obtain citizenship at US$150,000 instead of the actual price of US$195,000.

The conditions of application are that the main applicant must be over the age of 18, dependent children up to the age of 30. He stated that parents and grandparents could also apply. He added that the parents have to be over the age of 55.

"The rationale behind this exclusive offer is to give the opportunity to families to apply for citizenship during these unprecedented times," added Les Khan

Les Khan also noted that only Sustainable Growth fund, popularly known as 'fund Option' is under the exclusive offers while the real estate option does not have any discount.

Furthermore, he stated that the new offer on the Sustainable Growth Fund Option (Fund Option) is overwhelmed with people from the Middle-East applying for St Kitts and Nevis citizenship.

He added that there are a lot of families where parents take early retirement and become dependent on their children at an early age which is why the government considered this family-friendly offer.

Besides this, Les Khan stated that due diligence is a most important aspect where the agent is approached by the applicant; the agent ensures that the integrity of the client is well enough to be accepted by St Kitts and Nevis, we engage with our agents as it is remarkably vital to ensure the safety of St Kitts and Nevis and the integrity of the CBI program of the country.

Mr Khan stated that there are five companies around the world that are used by St Kitts and Nevis- who deals in different areas, they also send people to make a discrete inquiry on the public to verify all the facts.
