Tuesday, 20th October 2020

Argentina has reached one million coronavirus infections. Smaller areas like Ushuaia popularly known as the "The End of the World” is experiencing a larger spike in the COVID-19 cases.

The occupancy of beds has been increased by four times for coronavirus patients since last month. The reports state that 60percent of the people who had tested in recent days are returning positive for the virus.

Carlos Guglielmi, director of the Ushuaia Regional Hospital, stated that "We were the example of the nation, but someone appeared with the coronavirus.”

Columbia, Mexico and Peru are some of the Latin American nations that are expected to reach a one million coronavirus cases milestone in coming weeks.

The severe point appears as Latin America proceeds to record some of the biggest daily case counts globally while some nations have experienced a striking drop in numbers.

The trajectory is showing that the pandemic is likely to leave no edge of Latin America unharmed.

Luis Jorge Hernandez, a public health educator at the University of the Andes in Colombia, stated that the second wave of the coronavirus is arriving without the one first one being finished.

Coronavirus cases in Argentina continue to rise despite the fact it had one of the most extensive and strict lockdowns to lower the social- activities.
