Antigua and Barbuda welcomes Pepperpot Rum Shop for 100-day culinary extravaganza

Antigua and Barbuda: The most awaited Pepperpot Rum Shop officially opened in Antigua on May 9 featuring exquisite rum cocktails, culinary delights and island vibes. This experience extending over the course of 100 days at the Treehouse Beach Club in Saint John is a collaborative experience between Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority and Wadadli Kitchen.

The Pepperpot Rum Shop is not just a venue; it’s an immersive cultural experience that brings together the rich heritage of Antigua and Barbuda with the culinary expertise of Chef Andi Oliver.

This unique establishment will showcase an array of food, drinks, and iconic cultural experiences inspired by Chef Andi Oliver’s recipes and Antiguan heritage.

Visitors will get a chance to step into a world where flavors collide, and memories are made at The Pepperpot Rum Shop. The official launch featured the well-renowned DJ Spoony of Antiguan heritage, who, for the first time, brought his UK sound back home.

It is to be noted that after the acclaimed success of Andi Oliver’ Pepperpot Diaries which was a recipe book set in Antigua and Barbuda, the Pepperpot Rum Shop is an organic manifestation of the narrative of the book.

According to the information, Andi looks forward to exploring ‘who we were, who we are and where we are going’, and this is all through the food the visitors will eat and the people they will meet during the 100-day exclusive event.

The aim of the establishment is to curate a completely immersive cultural offering integrated with the scheduled program of events for the restaurant week.

The event will be held until July 27, 2024 and will be a pop-up experience in the historic Fort James area of Antigua with the Celebrity Chef Andi saying that she is thrilled to showcase some recipes on the island of Antigua and Barbuda.

These dishes will include some of the most celebrated dishes of Andi including the chocolate curried goat with some innovative recipes created specially for the event.
