The United Workers Party have been engaged in election campaign since a few months, in their events, the party leader Lennox Linton and his team members are often seen criticizing the wrongdoings of the Dominica Labour Party and its government. But, UWP itself was not once seen discussing the developmental plans for Dominica.

Dominica Labour Party’s government has been in power from the past nineteen years and the party is full head to toe prepared for another term with many procurements on their list. However, UWP had their government almost two decades ago with minimal achievements to be discussed.

Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit said in one of his recent public meetings that, UWP has no vision and hope for the people of Dominica “All they do is talk about me, but just talking about me will not develop to the country.”

The opposition party is trying to manipulate the people of Dominica with their false propaganda.

Dominica Labour Party administration has successfully managed to deliver free homes to the homeless along with free healthcare to children under the age of 18 and older people above the age of 60. Not only that, the government has made education a priority and is working effortlessly to improve the system with free education schemes.

Leader of Opposition Lennox Linton is a parliamentary representative from the Marigot constituency and is also the prime leader of the United Workers Party who have been under the allegations of receiving 1 million dollars from a foreign developer for his election campaigning. However, these allegations are yet to be proven right and have been making a hype on social media.

The DLP government has managed to boost the economy of the country after Hurricane Maria which shook the nation in 2017.

The achievements of the Dominica Labour Party and its administration cannot be neglected by anyone in the country. Nevertheless, the opposition must also show what they have to offer to the people of Dominica.
