Melissa Skerrit grieves the passing of Minister Edward Registe
The wife of the Prime minister and parliament representative from Roseau Central Constituency, Melissa Poponne Skerrit, also expressed her grief.

Minister Edward Registe passed away on Wednesday morning, and the entire country is mourning his demise. The wife of the Prime minister and parliament representative from Roseau Central Constituency, Melissa Poponne Skerrit, also expressed her grief.
She said words are insufficient to describe and express her deep sense of grief on the passing of her dear friend and colleague Honourable Edward Registe. He passed away on Wednesday morning at Dominica-China Friendship Hospital due to a heart-attack.Melissa Skerrit stated that Minister Edward Registe gained the admiration and respect of everyone who knew him.
Registe was a member of parliament from Grand Bay constituency and Minister for State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Diaspora Relations with special responsibility. Melissa Skerrit said that he was continually hailed as an excellent Parliamentarian who will be forever remembered for his passion for service and his unceasing devotion to the needy and the downtrodden."I take this opportunity to convey my condolences to his family, friends, constituents and all those who knew and loved him." wrote Melissa Skerrit on Facebook.
Sharing the verses of the Bible, Melissa Skerrit wrote, "I urge all of us to take comfort in Revelations 21:4, He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
The government of Dominica also held a virtual candlelight vigil on Wednesday morning. The prayers were led by Father Branker John.
