Government's plan for Roseau Valley
During the Annou Pale episode on Sunday, Prime Minister shared the extensive government plans for the Roseau Valley constituency. He said the aim is to start a housing initiative in Trafalgar to provide safe, resilient shelter for residents. He said 12 apartments are already constructed, and beneficiaries will be shifted to their new homes before June 2022.
"We have settled the land; works will be started in the next couple of months to build additional housing in Trafalgar," said PM Skerrit.
PM also stated that an indoor basketball facility in Roseau Valley would also be constructed, and the works were halted due to heavy rains. He said the facility is part of the government's effort to promote sports in Dominica.

He said the project is an absolute priority.
He said a road linking Copthall to Wotten Waven would also be constructed, which will benefit the residents and increase the tourism activity in the area.
"We are also developing a concept for a vending facility in Wotten Waven to offer a better experience to visitors," Prime Minister announced.
He said the vending facility would also have proper washrooms, interpretation centre, reception hall. PM said the place would include a garden. It would be created in a natural ecosystem for an appealing feel for tourists where they can enjoy the fruits Dominica has while exploring the springs.
PM said such constituency visits help understand the needs of people and create more targeted interventions to improve the lives of the general public.
