Dominica offer cash rewards, cell phones and more to those who get vaccinated at Mahaut Market today

Rayburn Blackmoore, the current Minister for Justice, Immigration and National Security, invited people to get vaccinated in a unique camp in Mahaut Market on Saturday.
The vaccine camp aims to encourage more people to get vaccinated, as lucky winners will likely win exciting prizes such as mobile phones, passes for exotic resorts and more.
Rayburn Blackmoore asked the general public to "roll up their sleeves and take the vaccine" at Mahault Market on Saturday from 9 am onwards.
He said everyone who gets vaccinated in the Mahaut camp on Saturday would get an opportunity to have their name placed in the final draw. The draw will be done on the same day and will be live-streamed via Facebook and DBS Radio.
The public will get an opportunity to choose from three vaccines currently available in Dominica. The choices are, Astrazeneca, Sinopharm and Pfizer.
Minister said people would get an opportunity to win the following
draw prizes-
- An A12 Samsung Mobile Handset compliments from FLOW Dominica
- An A02 Samsung Mobile Handset
- One day Pass for 2 Persons at Jungle Bay Resort Meals included
- Two day Passes at Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica meals included
- A Gift Certificate valued at $250.00 from the Continental Store
The first 150 persons will get an opportunity to receive the following:
- 100 persons - A Coupon for KFC
- 50 persons - A Coupon for a Sub at IROC ons & Co
- Ten persons will also have an opportunity to win 10lbs of Sliced Tuna from the Mahaut Fisher Folks.
Minister Blackmore stated that a minimum of 10 persons would have a chance to win a Cash Prize of not less than $200, and the more persons who are vaccinated, the greater the cash prize value.
The unique method is being optimised to increase vaccination across the country to achieve herd immunity.
