Dominica Minister of Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiatives Denise Charles shared insights about the national clean-Up and beautification campaign launch. The major focus is to make Dominica the most desirable tourist location in the region and beyond. Denise Charles stated that the government is on a journey to clean up major tourist attraction sites on the island and the first stop is the highway from Pointe Michel to Champagne Beach. She urged all Dominicans to come forward and support such initiatives.

"I need all Dominicans to join us in this campaign to keep our island clean and green. Tourism is everybody’s business, and we have to protect and preserve this important growth sector,".

Furthermore, she also thanked Prime Minister, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit for his leadership, Minister Cozier Frederick, and Minister Dr. Irving McIntyre and other colleagues for their collaboration and enthusiasm to ensure that Dominica is the most talked-about destination in our region.

Minister Charles stated she looks forward to solid waste corporation, the private sector, landscape artistes, NEP special brigades, and small contractors working with us to plant flowers, and fruit trees and create vibrant green spaces around the island.
