The project will be funded by the Citizenship by Investment Programme of Dominica. The construction of the new building will commence this week by the Montreal Management Consultants Est (MMCE).
The school building will be climate-resilient to fight any unwanted natural calamities like hurricanes or tropical storms. The massive structure will consist of four buildings, a state of the art auditorium with modern lighting facilities, a football court, a basketball court, a badminton court and a vast parking space.

The classes will also have the "Smart Class" facility to give children a more surreal education experience. Besides this, it will be equipped with advanced science and math labs.
Melissa Skerrit- Parliament Representative from the Roseau Central constituency, said that the Dominica Labour Party-led government kept all the promises made in the 2019 election manifesto.
She also shared the graphical design of the new Dominica Grammar School, which was applauded by the general public.
A Facebook user named Albert Williams wrote, "I think these designs exude excellence. They're also built to withstand Dominica's tropical climate, and I believe that they are built to last."
Built in 1893, Dominica Grammar School is one of the oldest institutions on the island and is situated in the capital city of Roseau. However, it no longer operates like a traditional grammar school and expands its curriculum, contrary to its name.
Many personalities, including the current Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, Former PM Pierre Charles, Roosevelt Douglas, Edison James, and Liam Sebastian, are among the distinguished alumni of the school.
