Prime Minister of Dominica Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit met the Gospel Singer Sinach and her family on Friday. The renowned singer is in Dominica for her 50th birthday celebrations.

Prime Minister of Dominica Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit met the Gospel Singer Sinach and her family on Friday. The renowned singer is in Dominica for her 50th birthday celebrations.

Sinach congratulated the Government of Dominica for their tremendous efforts in the post-Hurricane Maria period and for the management of COVID-19.

She offered prayers for continued success in the management of the country's affairs and thanked the Government and people of Dominica for the love and kindness extended to her family and friends over the past week.

"I, along with my wife, Hon. Melissa Skerrit welcomed renowned gospel singer, Sinach and her family for a visit on Friday. The singer-songwriter of "Way Maker" and "I know who I am" fame is in Dominica for the celebration of her 50th birthday," wrote the Prime Minister on Twitter.

During her visit, Sinach also did a three-day live virtual concert titled Sinach Praise and Worship, which hundreds of people across Dominica enjoyed on Sunday evening. She also visited the Indian River and the Sulphur Spas.

Many people expressed love for Sinach on social media. A user named Minetta James wrote,"Welcome to our beautiful Dominica,I hope u and your family enjoy your stay and come back again."

Another user named Irms Irms wrote," May God of peace be upon you, my PM, and your family. Also, God rest his unchanging hands-on Sinach that she will continue to bless nations in songs."

Sonia Dupuis wrote, "One of My favorite Gospel singers. Happy birthday my dear keep singing for God,".

Sinach, whose real name is Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and senior worship leader at Loveworld.  She is the first singer-songwriter to to be on the top of the Billboard Christian Songwriter for 12 weeks in a row.  At the 51st GMA Dove Awards, her song "Way Maker" received three nominations and won Song of the Year, making her the first Nigerian toa achieve the milestone.
