It has now been almost three months since life in Dominica was shattered by the passage of Hurricane Maria.
This category five storm, with winds faster than 160mph, tore through the island of only 70,000 people and left millions of dollars worth of damage.
While the eyes of the world were trained on Dominica for a short time – led by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, who documented online his own home losing its roof – attention quickly turned to other, more well known, islands.
Josh Toussaint-Strauss, as part of a film for The Guardian, returned to the country where he has family. He visited one of the worst-hit villages, Pointe Michel, and asked: With hurricane season 2018 predicted to be worse, what does the future hold for Dominica?
