UK national dies of coronavirus in St Lucia
A national of the United Kingdom have died due to coronavirus in the Caribbean island country of St Lucia. As per health officials, the deceased is a 52-year-old male.

Authorities revealed that the individual had arrived in St Lucia on December 30, 2020, and died on January 09, 2021.
Health officials stated that the United Kingdom national had tested positive for coronavirus; however, he was not in medical care when he died.
The total number of coronavirus related deaths in St Lucia is now six after the UK national's passing. At the same time, over 502 people have tested positive in St Lucia since the pandemic started.
On Wednesday, twelve more people tested positive for coronavirus in the small island nation. Eleven of these new positive cases are Saint Lucian citizens between age groups of 1 to 73 years.
Authorities stated that these individuals are from different health districts- Castries, Babonneauand Gros-Islet districts.
Health officials stated that these individuals were first diagnosed at local respiratory clinics after showing flu-like symptoms.
Health practitioners quarantined these patients immediately after taking their samples for coronavirus testing. Arrangments are being made to place these people into government isolation facilities.
Contact tracing of these people is under process, and epidemiologist links have already been established for five cases.
Health Ministry stated that four people have also recovered from coronavirus in Saint Lucia on Wednesday while there are still 177 active cases.
