U.S. Embassy Barbados all set to work with Skerrit administration once again

General election results of Dominica was declared on Friday evening, where the governing Dominica Labour Party won the elections and formed the government for another five years.
U.S. Embassy, Bridgetown Barbados took to twitter to congratulate the Prime Minister and Party leader Dr Roosevelt Skerrit and his political party.
The embassy tweeted that they are looking forward to working with the Skerrit administration to promote regional security, prosperity, and electoral reform.
"We thank OAS, CARICOM for their electoral observation mission in Dominica. We look forward to continuing to work with the Skerrit administration to promote regional security, prosperity, and electoral reform. " tweeted the U.S. Embassy Bridgetown, Barbados.
However, the embassy had issued a travel alert for its citizens planning their trips to Dominica following the ongoing political and civil unrest on the island, but later the advisory was revised.
Tourism is a critical party of the country's economy, thus coming this from the U.S. embassy will regain the interest of travellers around.
Moreover, the Dominica Labour Party is in power from two decades and have been promoting peace and prosperity on the island. The party recently won the elections for a fifth consecutive term as the government.
The party runs under the vision of Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, who as per reports will soon be the youngest person to be head of government for more than two decades in 2024.
Dominica Labour Party won 18 parliamentary seats out of the total 21 by defeating the opposition United Workers Party. DLP now have a hold on the Roseau Central constituency which under UWP for a long time.
