Trinidad & Tobago records 1k deaths due to COVID-19, 156 new cases reported

Trinidad and Tobago: The Caribbean country – Trinidad and Tobago have listed 156 new cases of the coronavirus mutant on 20 July 2021. The Health Ministry of Trinidad & Tobago has shared this COVID-19 update report on 20 July 2021 through social media handle.  According to the report, there are 5,691 total active cases in the nation rise to In comparison, a total of 29,663 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. In contrast, around 301 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further notified in the report that a total of 1000 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 20 July 2021.  According to a total of 84 patients in the step-down facilities, around 146 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,150 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the coronavirus pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of Trinidad and Tobago.  So far, as of 20 July 2021, in Trinidad & Tobago, a total of 252,521 individuals have got their first jab of the coronavirus vaccine, whereas, in total, 174,992 individuals have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated upon the deadly croronavirus.   If we look at the statistics of coronavirus testing, a total of 255,325 individuals have been tested for the novel COVID-19, out of which 109,383 COVID-19 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 145,942 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus.  The Health Ministry further notified in their report that the samples of these new 156 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 16 July to 19 July 2021.  As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 36,354 cases of the deadly virus.  If citizens of the island want to obtain any updates and information regarding the coronavirus mutant, they can visit the health ministry’s official website at – www.health.gov.tt/covid19.
