According to the police reports, the deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Paul Dillon Sirjuesingh who was a resident of Temple Street, Duncan Village, San Fernando.

Trinidad: Man shot multiple times while liming near home
Trinidad and Tobago: A man was fatally shot near his home in San Fernando on Wednesday, recording the second murder which took place in the area for the month so far.

According to the police reports, the deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Paul Dillon Sirjuesingh who was a resident of Temple Street, Duncan Village, San Fernando.

The preliminary investigations have revealed that around 11 55 pm on Wednesday, Sirjuesingh was liming outside of his home, when a Nissan Tiida in brown colour pulled up next to him. The reports added that the occupant of the car got out from his vehicle and shot Sirjuesingh several times before returning to his car and fleeing the scene.

Individuals who witnessed the whole incident immediately notified the police officials and emergency health services but by the time they arrived to the scene, Sirjuesingh succumbed to his injuries.

It is being suspected that the suspect was a known person of the victim and the killing was due to some specific motive.

The Crime Scene Investigators of Trinidad and Tobago also visited the scene and found 11 spent 9mm shell casings as well as a projectile. An investigation into the incident has been launched to further identify and get hold of the suspect. The officials have expressed their concern with this second murder which took place this month. Just on Sunday 18th February, 2024, 28-year-old Julieno Lewis of Corial Road, Princes town died after he was shot outside Rawle’s Recreational Club in Palmyra.

The citizens and residents of Trinidad and Tobago have also expressed their concern over the latest incident and expressed their condolences to Paul Dillon Sirjuesingh.

“RIP Dillon Paul we really never got to have that primary school reunion You were literally the first person I met when I walked in that classroom in 1st year,” wrote a user named Nikisha Garcia.

Another user named Matthew remembered Paul and said, “RIP My brother. Too close to home. Just a month ago I was chatting with your mom about the Grant School days.”
