Trinidad and Tobago records 223 new COVID-19 cases in 24-hours

Ministry of Health Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday shared the coronavirus statistics of the country. It that over 129,781 people tested for COVID-19 in the country, and over 223 new cases were recorded in 24 hours. Health Ministry noted that Trinidad and Tobago have 1,678 active cases while 8,351 recovered successfully. Since March 12, 2021 As per the recent data released by the Ministry of Health Trinidad and Tobago, the country has 1,656 active coronavirus cases while 8,351 have recovered from the contagious disease. Trinidad and Tobago recorded 10,170 coronavirus cases since the first case discovered on March 12 2021. The country also recorded 223 new coronavirus cases in the last 24-hours, while 163 people have also died of COVID-19. There are over 150 people in hospitals, while 1,259 people are in self-isolation at their homes, while 199 patients are at the state quarantine facilities. As of April 28 2021, Trinidad and Tobago vaccinated 42,082 people with the Oxford Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine received from the COVAX facility and the Republic of India. Earlier in April, Trinidad and Tobago received 40,000 doses of Oxford Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India, while before that, the country welcomed 33,600 doses from the World Health Organization's COVAX mission. The government of Trinidad and Tobago recently imposed new limitations to curb infections in the country.
