Tobago to welcome thousands of passengers onboard 11 cruises in February

Tobago is all set to welcome 11 more cruises throughout this month, which will dock at Scarborough and Charlotteville ports. The island has already received four cruise calls, with Norwegian Sky making its inaugural call on February 4.

All these cruises are anticipated to bring a lot of passengers to the island nation, giving a significant boost to the overall cruise tourism season 2023-2024.

On February 7, the island welcomed Jewel of the Seas which brought a total of 2265 cruise visitors representing 20 nations on board. Cruisers from the United States accounted for more than 2,000 of the passengers on board the vessel.

Notably, more than 600 visitors enjoyed pre-packaged tours to key tourist attractions like the Maracas Waterfall, a city tour followed by a trip to Maracas Beach or Mt St Benedict, kayaking on the Caroni River, and a Paramin 4x4 adventure.

A total of 41 maxi taxis transported visitors to the various sites that showcase the island’s history and natural beauty.

Tomorrow, Tobago will welcome Costa Fortuna, which will dock at Scarborough Port, following which the Jewel of the Seas will arrive on February 14 and Ambition on February 15. The Jewel of the Seas will continue to dock at the Port of Port of Spain every Tuesday for the 2023/2024 cruise season. The island will be welcoming two cruises Sea Cloud 2 and Celebrity Silhouette on February 17, docking at Charlotteville and Scarborough ports respectively. The luxurious cruise Jewel of the Seas will again arrive on the island on February 21 and February 28, and the next day, two cruises will come, including Zandam and Seven Seas Splendour, with the latter making its maiden call to Tobago.
