Team Unity's time is up, says former PM Dr Douglas at Lime Kiln public meet

St Kitts and Nevis Labour party organised a public meeting in Lime Kiln constituency on Sunday evening, where the members of Next-Gen SKN addressed the constituents.

Former Prime Minister and leader of opposition Dr Denzil L. Douglas targeted the 'Team Unity' government for not announcing general elections despite the completion of their term. The leader also rang the bell stating that the time of Harris government has expired.

"We don't care what excuse he will give, but his time is over, and he must lose the general elections coming up," added Dr Denzil L. Douglas.

The leader stated that the time of 'Team Unity' government is finished and Labour is prepared to beat the alliance in coming general elections.

Dr Douglas also discussed the projects that were put on hold by the current administration and added that Labour would immediately start working on the respective projects that include the revival of Kittitian Hill and Ramada Hotel in Lime Kiln.

Furthermore, Dr Douglas lashed upon Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris for 'nepotism' and only giving high profile jobs to his siblings despite being unsuitable for the roles.

"He has his own sisters and brothers, some of them are barely literate but are on biggest jobs here in St Kitts and Nevis, which is not right," added Dr Douglas.

Opposition Leader stated that the young people of the twin-island nation are waiting for SKNLP to return in power so that they can enjoy the pleasure to be employed on decent positions.

Speaking about the educational system under the 'Team Unity' government, the leader stated that education has become extremely expensive and parents are forced to drop out their kids from institutions because of lack of money.

Former Prime Minister stated that medical doctors are also under the radar of being unemployed in SKN as of now and are struggling for a brighter tomorrow.

Dr Douglas stated that once the SKNLP returns in power, people will be given what belongs to them, what was being taken from them in these five years.
